The Board of Trustees of this successful, oversubscribed, specialist Academy has an opportunity to appoint an enthusiastic and committed teacher of Geography on a fixed-term contract from February to December 2017.

Our highly committed, supportive and creative department requires a full time Geography teacher to teach across the full age and ability range at mainly Key Stage 3 (with some Key Stage 4 until May 2017).

Biddick Academy is a co-educational secondary school based in Washington, near Sunderland, for students aged 11-16. 

In 1997, Biddick was one of the first 11 schools in England to become a specialist sports college. The academy’s facilities include a sports hall, a dance studio, a fitness suite, a gymnasium, a full-size 3G pitch, floodlit tennis courts, a theatre and ICT suites.
