Job overview

Do you want to teach in a vibrant, happy, warm school where pupils enjoy learning and teachers enjoy teaching? If so, come and join our passionate and supportive team in this local one-form entry school.

We are looking for committed, enthusiastic, and creative candidates who will enjoy working in an inspirational and innovative school and teach to a high standard. You would be joining a dedicated and supportive team which has the benefit of being able to collaborate within the larger federation, whilst maintaining the warm and welcoming ethos of a small school.

Manorside Primary School is heavily oversubscribed, and rated Outstanding because “pupils display exemplary attitudes to learning”, and “leaders [and] all staff … work together to ensure that every pupil is supported to reach high academic standards and to have their broader talents and interests nurtured and developed”. However, we are also a school that is always seeking to improve and you will benefit from a high standard of internal and external CPD and support.

We are a diverse school, where pupils share a real love of learning. We offer a full and rich curriculum inside and outside the classroom, and our staff have a strong ethos of collaboration and support.

Our school is driven by our values; these are more than just posters on the walls. As staff we treat ourselves and each other with Growth Mindset, High Standards, Integrity, Kindness. We believe in developing the whole child and we teach them to follow the Manorside Way: Be Kind, Be Brave, Take Pride, Work Hard.

We are part of a federation with nearby Tudor Primary School, giving the best of both worlds – the close knit environment of a one-form entry school, yet with opportunities to collaborate with other teachers in the same year.

The successful candidate will:

  • Be dedicated to the learning and growth of all children.
  • Exemplify our staff values of Growth Mindset, High Standards, Integrity, Kindness.
  • Plan and deliver exciting and purposeful lessons.
  • Be able to enthuse, inspire and engage children.
  • Have excellent interpersonal skills with pupils, staff and parents.
  • Commit to develop children’s character within the Manorside Way: Be Kind, Be Brave, Take Pride, Work Hard.

To apply, please download and complete an application form, and email to Amanda Shipp at office@manorside.barnetmail.net. Please get in touch if you would like a conversation with the Head of School about the school or to arrange a visit.

The closing date for applications is Friday 19th April at 9am. Interviews will be held on Friday 26th April 2024.

Squires Lane Learning Federation committed to equality and diversity and hence encourages applications from black and minority ethnic groups which are currently underrepresented. The federation is also committed to the protection and safeguarding of young people.
