FULL-TIME TEMPORARY TEACHING POSITION, TERM 4 2019

Applications are invited from suitably qualified teachers who must:

• Have a commitment to the practice of the Catholic faith

• Have a knowledge of and understanding of the Catholic ethos and mission of the school

• Have the ability to teach K-6

• Be prepared to work with small intervention groups

• Be able to provide an environment that engages the learner and promotes growth

• Be an effective communicator with staff, students and parents

• Be able to work as a committed member of a Professional Learning Community and provide effective learning and teaching experiences

• Hold a current Working With Children Check

• Have full registration with NESA

About St Brigid’s Primary School KYOGLE

St Brigid's Primary School is an independent co-educational Roman Catholic primary school catering for pupils from kindergarten to Year 6. It is located in the town of Kyogle in New South Wales, Australia. 

The school was originally founded in 1906 and draws students from the areas of Kyogle, Cawongla, Wiangaree and nearby surrounding areas.

The school has multiple flexible learning spaces and provides up to date technological learning aids such as Chromebooks, Netbooks and Android tablets, and there is a school canteen.

It also has an excellent Sporting Schools Program with a wide variety of in-school education programs and sporting events such as football, rugby league, cricket, swimming and gymnastics.

Curriculum

St Brigid's Primary School is accredited by BOSTES (the Board of Studies, Teaching and Educational Standards), whose guidelines the school's comprehensive curriculum follows. The KLAs (Key Learning Areas) in the syllabus are mathematics, English, human society and Its environment, creative arts, science and technology and personal development, health and physical education.

There is a particular focus on literacy and numeracy and all subjects are combined with a Christ centred approach to teaching.
