We’re looking for an organised and proactive Funding Manager to help us achieve our business goals through proactively reporting on the College’s funding position, highlighting opportunities and risks as appropriate and taking ownership for ensuring data accuracy and audit compliance of student and related data.
Play a vital role in our Business Systems and Support department
Our Business Systems and Support team ensure the central college management information system is appropriately developed and maintained in line with the needs of the organisation. The team manage the organisation’s capacity and capability to use Government funding as a key resource in the achievement of its strategic aims. Joining us as a Funding Manager, you will:
- Support the Head of BSS in proactively reporting on the College’s funding position, highlighting opportunities and risks as appropriate and to ensure data accuracy and audit compliance of student and related data.
- Develop and support the college management information system (CMIS) in respect of funding.
- Provide management information to support the core business, including providing funding earnings estimates, advise on funding issues, funding audit and quality performance measures.

What we are looking for:
- Have excellent IT Skills, including advanced Excel, Microsoft Access ODBC connections, pass-through queries and report writing. In addition to having knowledge of/willingness to learn reading and writing SQL scripts
- Have a sound knowledge of relational databases, including Further Education student record databases
- Proven numeracy and analytical skills with the ability to research and interrogate large quantities of complex data, in order to provide a wide range of datasets, analysis and statistics
- Have a good understanding or post 16 education funding methodologies, performance measures and Inspection framework
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent organisational and planning skills with the ability to be flexible in your approach
