The Hamilton International School (THIS), part of the International Schools Partnership (ISP), is seeking an exceptional Future Pathways Advisor (Grades 6–12) to join our Secondary team. We are a premium American curriculum school offering the High School Diploma and IBDP, committed to preparing students for success beyond school.

About the Role

This is a key whole-school role focused on delivering a coherent, future-focused pathways program from Grades 6–12. The successful candidate will support students in making informed decisions about university, careers, and entrepreneurship, ensuring they leave school informed, supported, and empowered.

Working closely with the ISP Future Pathways team, you will embed futures thinking across the curriculum and wider student experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver a structured Futures program across Grades 6–12 aligned with ISP frameworks

  • Provide expert guidance on global university pathways and admissions (UK, US, Europe, and beyond)

  • Support students with subject choices, applications, personal statements, and career planning

  • Track student destinations and manage applications using a careers platform (e.g. Unifrog)

  • Build partnerships with universities, employers, and industry professionals

  • Coordinate careers events, university fairs, and guest speaker programs

  • Develop internship, work experience, and enrichment opportunities

  • Work with teachers to embed real-world learning and futures education across subjects

  • Use data to monitor engagement, track outcomes, and improve provision

 

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree (required); postgraduate qualification in careers guidance or counseling desirable

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in careers guidance or a similar role in education

  • Strong knowledge of global university systems and admissions processes

  • Experience delivering careers/futures programs and using guidance platforms

  • Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to work effectively in an international, multicultural environment
