Job overview

Ref: GP1607201RS

The NCA leads the UK’s fight to cut serious and organised crime. This includes class A drugs, child exploitation, people smuggling and human trafficking, major gun crime, fraud, cyber crime, money laundering and the corruption that organised criminals use to facilitate these crimes.

We work to imprison serious criminals, and use many other tactics to disrupt crime and keep people safe. In particular, we want to ensure crime doesn’t pay and that it’s harder to commit. We also draw on innovative new approaches to prevent crimes from happening in the first place. We expect our Officers to work to the highest standards of behaviour in everything they do.

Our values and behaviours are:

Flexibility - seeking continuous improvements to the way that we work, adapting to find solutions to difficult problems.

Integrity - acting with the highest standards of integrity and professionalism.

Respect - treating everyone with dignity and respect, valuing diversity, working in partnership, and sharing knowledge and best practice.

Serving the public - being proud to put the public interest at the centre of everything we do.

Transparency - being truthful, open and accountable for our actions.

Role summary:

The Child Exploitation and Online Protection (CEOP) Command is a high-profile part of the National Crime Agency, working to protect the public by combatting the sexual exploitation and abuse of children.

As an Education Officer you will be right at the centre of our work, helping to maintain and develop CEOP’s award winning education programme Thinkuknow. You will help us translate the very latest research and intelligence into educational resources used with millions of UK children. You will design and deliver training on the very latest developments in children’s online safety and represent CEOP at national forums. You will support projects developing new educational resources and web content. You will be part of a small and dynamic award winning team.

Applicants will be required to be vetted to NCA SC Enhanced level.

Due to the nature of the work, all those working in CEOP Command are required to undertake a psychological wellbeing assessment before commencing in their role and at regular intervals throughout their employment.
