Required for September 2018 two highly-qualified, inspiring and innovative musicians to teach general music to all ages at this world-famous specialist music school. It is envisaged that one of these posts will be full-time and one part-time. General Music teaching lies at the very heart of the school’s music-making and is a vital complement to the instrumental provision for around 80 string players, pianists and classical guitarists.
The successful candidates will be required to teach music theory, harmony, counterpoint, musical analysis, aural training and history to the highest level as well as to prepare pupils for GCSE and A Level Music examinations. An interest in Music Technology will be welcome.
