We have an excellent opportunity for an innovative and suitably skilled manager who is committed to providing exceptional service, to join our high profile Independent Day and Boarding School.
As a General Services Manager, the successful candidate will lead the delivery of day-to-day catering and housekeeping services and ensuring school functions and events are managed effectively. This is a significant role within our Operational Management Team, which will provide the opportunity for the right person to showcase their leadership skills within a growing business and in return, provide an opportunity to enhance their senior management career within a prestigious environment.
Responsibilities include budget management and staff leadership, including recruitment and selection, acting as a Designated Premises Supervisor (personal licence required), regular quality audit control, monitoring financial performance together with the procurement of supply chain activities (laundry, linen purchases, waste contracts and pest control).
The successful candidate must be exceptionally organised, have prior people and operational management experience with an emphasis on catering, together with experience of managing multiple departments with large budgets. It is essential that applicants demonstrate their commitment to providing excellent customer service as the role will be accountable for approximately 200 staff and the daily service to more than 1,200 students and 400 other members of staff.
This role is a permanent position working 40 hours per week between Monday to Friday, all-year round. The starting salary is up to £47,500 per annum depending on skills, knowledge and experience. Due to the nature of the role, there may be the need to work flexibly outside the working hours in order to fulfil the role.
