Teacher of Geography and History to Key Stages 3 and 4
St. Lawrence College, Athens, Greece is currently seeking to recruit a suitably qualified and experienced Geography and History teacher as part of the expansion of the Geography and History departments in the school.
Brief Job description
The successful applicant will be responsible for the teaching of Geography and History to pupils in Key Stage 3 and to IGCSE pupils at Key Stage 4. He or she will work closely with the current Heads of Department and colleagues in all areas of the planning and delivery of Geography and History, including strengthening the schemes of work, creating and sourcing teaching aids, developing and implementing assessment tasks, promoting broader interest and enjoyment of these subjects.
St. Lawrence College places great importance on the excellence of the delivery of pastoral care and on the provision of extracurricular activities for all pupils. The successful applicant will be expected to contribute to these vital spheres of British education fully and with enthusiasm.
Brief person specification
In addition to appropriate teaching qualifications and, preferably, experience teaching Geography and/or History in a British school either in the UK or overseas, the successful applicant will possess outstanding subject knowledge, excellent communication skills and the stamina to realise the continual improvement of the teaching of this highly popular subject.
The successful applicant will be available to work starting 1st September 2018.
