Job overview

Would you like to be part of a new and growing school with a great local reputation?

St Mark’s CE School is one whole school community, where we create a sense of belonging for all who enter our school. Our core Christian values of love, belonging and service are nurtured and modelled through high standards by our excellent staff and amazing students.

We are seeking an exceptional Geography teacher, to teach and inspire in our Secondary phase in line with the whole school Christian distinctiveness and ethos. Both early career or experienced applicants are equally welcome as we seek to expand our growing Humanities team. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to play a key role in shaping the Geography curriculum and opportunities for professional development are rich as we grow and new roles and responsibilities become available.

This is a rare and exciting opportunity for someone with the teaching skills and secondary phase knowledge to work within our school community, where our high standards enable teachers to enjoy teaching their subject without disruption.

To be successful, you will hold qualified teacher status with evidence of professional development gained within the last two years. You will be a passionate and creative practitioner ready to join our growing all through school, which currently has only Y7 and Y8 students in the secondary phase.

Applications will be reviewed when they are received, so we encourage you to apply at the earliest opportunity. If you would like to know any more information about us then please contact Ben Godber, Head of Secondary via bgodber@st-marks-southampton.org.uk

Please then complete the ‘teaching staff’ Application form; when completed please email to: recruitment@st-marks-southampton.org.uk

St Mark’s Church of England School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. This role requires an enhanced DBS.
