Located on the Indian Ocean coast of the United Arab Emirates, 140 kilometres from Dubai, at the foot of the Hajar Mountains. Fujairah has a scenic beauty and wonderful beaches. The school is non-profit, non-selective and caters for 740  students aged 4 -18 years. 90 % of these are from Arabic speaking backgrounds with 75 % of them being Emirati. The school was established in 1982 by the government of Fujairah as a non-profit organization. The school follows an adapted National Curriculum of England and Wales and students take GCSE and GCE A levels.

The school is an accredited  member of the British Schools in the Middle East Association and has also been awarded British Schools Overseas status by the Department of Education in England. We offer UK qualified candidates an opportunity to gain the NQT qualification if required.

GEOGRAPHY TEACHER with a subsidiary subject

We welcome applications from teachers with either a B.Ed or a B.A./B.Sc and PGCE in Geography from the UK. Recent experience in a school teaching the British curriculum and those who have experience of schools belonging to the British Schools in the Middle East Association are particularly welcome. The applicant should have experience of teaching students who have English as a second language. Recent experience of teaching GCSE /GCE examination classes is required with a proven track record. A second teaching subject is required. Applicants should either be single with no accompanying dependants or as part of a married teaching couple where the spouse is seeking employment in the school for one of the advertised posts.
