Job overview

Are you an experienced school leader with the energy to influence and support a range of schools on a national level? Do you thrive on the challenge of using a range of school data to find solutions for improvement? Are you a confident presenter, team player and assertive leader who is considering a role outside the school environment?

If any of the above rings true then apply for this new exciting role working with GO 4 Schools. Reporting to the Director of Education Services, we need an individual with a passion for education, technology and enterprise; a willingness to get stuck in and pick up new things quickly; the ability to work accurately and with others; confident with data from a range of educational contexts and working to deadlines.

GO 4 Schools is a strategic online system used by schools and academies looking to take their use of data to the next level. The number of schools using GO 4 Schools has roughly doubled in each of the past 5 years and we expect growth to continue to be strong. A high level of engagement with schools is the key to our success. Only by working closely with schools can we deliver what they need.

We are seeking to appoint a highly motivated individual to increase GO 4 Schools’ professional profile, to build on our existing strong relationships with users, showcase GO 4 Schools and provide approved training to new schools.

The successful candidate should have held a leadership post in education either at middle management or senior level. You should have a sound knowledge of school data and an understanding of how it can be used effectively to support school improvement in the ever-changing education environment. You should possess the skills to talk and write about best practice, drawing from experience to confidently deliver consultancy advice, initial approved training sessions and presentations. You will also contribute to the development of GO 4 Schools using insight gained from visits to schools and information about the latest national initiatives in education.

This role requires an innovative and creative thinker who is also an excellent communicator, comfortable working with staff at all levels within schools with Ofsted ratings ranging from Outstanding to Special Measures. The candidate will be trained up to super-user level in GO 4 Schools and will develop an exceptional understanding of best practice in the strategic use of data in schools.

Office work is based in Cambridge, with a requirement to be present for team meetings and training, otherwise home based working will require a self-starter who is well motivated. Regional and occasional national travel within England and Wales will be required to visit schools, conferences and other events. Ideally the candidate would be regionally based in the West Midlands or the Northwest.

If you feel you have the experience and expertise to influence and support the way schools utilise their data using GO 4 Schools, please provide your CV and a letter of application outlining your strengths and experience to fulfil the role as outlined in the Job Description and Person Specification, no longer than 2 sides of A4. Please also include an indication of your salary expectations and earliest possible start date to us at jobs@go4schools.com using a subject line of “Education Services”.

Closing date: 17th March 2017
