Job overview

About E-ACT

E-ACT is a leading multi-academy trust responsible for over 15,000 pupils across 25 academies in England. Located in some of our most deprived communities, over two thirds of our academies are now rated Good or better by Ofsted.

About the role & our ideal candidate

E-ACT’s governance remit is considerable. Five regional hubs have educational and operational responsibility for the academies in their area, and every one of our 25 academies is also supported by an Ambassadorial Advisory Group. You will be supporting the Governance Manager to ensure the smooth running of the administration of E-ACT’s governance structure.

This is an exciting opportunity, and you must have the ability to work in a fast moving environment to high levels of accuracy. Whilst experience in the education sector is desirable, this isn’t essential. We are more interested in a candidate with strong communication skills, both written and verbal, an eye for detail and a positive, can-do attitude. Please note that this position is for a three month contract, with the possibility of an extension.

Why work for us?

This is an exciting time to join an ambitious team and organisation. We offer the chance to work with amazing people and inspirational pupils, as well as a great salary and sector-leading work-life balance arrangements.

How to apply

To apply, please complete our application form together with our equal opportunities form and email them both to HR.Team@E-ACT.org.uk.

Your application should outline how you meet the qualification and experience elements of the person specification.

The closing date for applications is 9am on Wednesday 21 February 2018.

Interviews will be scheduled for Thursday 1st March 2018.

E-ACT is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of young people and vulnerable adults, and all appointments are subject to enhanced Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) checks and satisfactory references.  E-ACT is also committed to promoting equality, challenging discrimination and developing community cohesion.  We welcome applications from all sections of the community.

E-ACT is a leading Academy sponsor and social enterprise, specialising in the development of world class Academies and schools in the UK.

Our mission is straightforward. It is to become the leading education provider developing and nurturing highly successful Academies and schools.

We believe the better educated and more highly-skilled people are, the better their life chances and the more likely they are to succeed in today’s globalised world.

To achieve this, E-ACT Academies quickly become centres of excellence for improving young people’s life chances and opportunities.

Academies in England are helping transform and improve secondary education and opportunities for thousands of young people.

As a multi-Academy sponsor, E-ACT is working with individual schools, local authorities and the Government to set up high quality all-ability schools. Our Academies are governed by experienced and successful people and organisations drawn from the communities served by each Academy.

We work closely with private and public sector partners, universities and further education colleges to raise educational standards and young people’s aspirations through innovative approaches to teaching and learning.

As a social enterprise we combine the efficiency and effectiveness of a business trading for social purposes.

Diversity, tolerance and equality are at the heart of every activity in E-ACT Academies, where young people of all races, faiths and cultures learn together.

E-ACT Academies are also vibrant centres for their communities, available all year round outside of traditional school hours for sport, health and recreational activities. They are also a focus for family-related activities and provide lifelong learning opportunities for local people of all ages.

Please note that you are wholly responsible for fact checking in respect of the information provided by schools. Please also check for the latest visa and work permit requirements that may apply. Tes is not responsible for the content of advertisements or the policies adopted by advertising schools. Tes asks that all schools follow Tes' Fair Recruitment Policy.
