We are looking to recruit an experienced Governance Manager to develop and lead a comprehensive governance service across the Trust. 

As the Governance Manager you will provide professional skills and advice and act as the Clerk to the Trust Board, having oversight of those who are responsible for clerking at local level.  The role includes supporting Trustees and Local Academy Board members to fulfil their responsibilities. An understanding of what constitutes effective governance at Trust and local level is essential. 

The Trust’s Governance Manager will be responsible for overseeing the development and maintenance of policies across the Trust. 

The successful applicant must have experience, knowledge and understanding of Board level procedures and political sensitives, including executive level advise to Chairs. We are looking for someone who can demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate clearly with a diverse client group. 

Hours: Part Time – 29 hours per week (0.8 FTE). Other flexible working arrangements will also be considered.
