Hours: 37 hours per week – This role offers flexibility with the opportunity of, remote working, flexible start and finish times, flexi-place, TOIL.

Terms & Conditions: Term time (39 weeks) + up to 10 days during school holidays (to be mutually agreed and paid in addition)

About the Role

We are seeking to appoint a Governance Professional & Executive Assistant who will be able to provide administrative support and assistance to the Chief Executive Officer and Trust Executive Team and provide governance support to our Trust board, working effectively with Chairs of Trustees and Members.

As a Governance Professional & Executive Assistant, you will provide comprehensive administrative support and will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of governance compliance and effectiveness within the Trust, ensuring governance adheres to good practice and meets all statutory and regulatory requirements. The Governance Professional will also act as the Company Secretary to the Trust.

This is a diverse role offering opportunities to communicate with stakeholders across the full range of media. We are looking for an exceptional individual who is a forward thinker, can manage and prioritise competing demands, and work at pace.

The successful candidate will possess excellent communication and IT skills and should take considerable pride in their work and the strength of their working relationships. They need to be adaptable, work flexibly, possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, use their own initiative, and have exceptional attention to detail, someone who is highly motivated and demonstrate a commitment and passion for supporting the education of our pupils through highly effective governance.

We are a Trust of seven schools and are at a very exciting stage in our growth and development. This post is based at our offices in Penkridge, however the successful candidate will be expected to travel to other schools within the Trust, as and when is necessary. The postholders working hours will need to be flexible to meet the needs of the Trust Board and its Committees. As most Trust Board and Committee meetings will take place in the late afternoon /early evening, a flexible approach to working hours is essential. The successful candidate may also be asked to service additional meetings in order to meet governance needs of the Trust (for example, pupil disciplinary committees, complaints panels).

To support this role, we offer a flexible arrangement which includes some time off in lieu on Fridays. Flexible arrangements can also be arranged for remote or office-based working and will be discussed and agreed with the successful applicant.

Key responsibilities include:

·        Arranging meetings and events

·        Minute taking

·        Prepare, compile and distributing documents and agendas

·        Contributing to communication for the Trust

·        Assisting with communication to staff 

·        Monitoring and maintaining school websites with policies

·        Reviewing data from school websites to identify key insights 

·        Managing social media content

·        Scheduling and issuing newsletters

·        Assessing quality of data and removing or cleansing data
