Governor

Sir John Cass's Foundation is looking for a new Governor.

The Organisation

The Foundation is one of London's oldest and largest education charities. Founded in 17 48, it supports education for young people under the age of 25 from London through its grant programmes for individuals, schools and organisations, and its support for a number of institutions bearing SirJohn Cass's name. The Foundation provides in excess of £6.7 million of educationally linked grants and benefits per year derived from an investment portfolio of circa £150 million.

The Role

Work alongside other Governors to set strategic direction and ensure the effective delivery of the Foundation's strategy.

Use practical experience to guide the work of the Foundation, participating in its various committees.

Represent the Foundation at various external events and with Partner organisations.

The Candidate

The Foundation is looking to recruit a qualified teacher who has experience of working in the maintained sector in the London area to add their experience to the board.

The time commitment will be approximately 10-15 days for Board meetings, Committee and Subcommittee meetings, Founder's Day, Board Away Days and external events.

The position is unremunerated, but reasonable travel expenses will be reimbursed.
