Introduction to the Role
The Grange School, Santiago de Chile, is looking for highly motivated recent graduates who are interested in gaining teaching experience within a school setting. The ideal candidate must be passionate, dedicated and resilient. He or she must be able to work in partnership with teaching and other educational support staff. Graduate Assistants will be employed for a period of two semesters, between late July 2023 and July 2024. (Please note that between mid/-December and late February, the School is on summer holiday, providing a wonderful opportunity for travel around the continent)
The position
We are looking for a highly motivated person who will care about communications, relationships with providers and publicity of the different events that will take place in order to deliver well-planned and high-standard events.
The selected person should adjust to the nature of each event and seek to fulfil their main objective. We are looking for an integral person, who can deal with caterers, musicians, DJs, and everyone who integrates the work team.
Cover, Duties and Invigilation
Graduate Assistants will be expected to be part of the staff cover and duties rota. During examination periods you will be required to invigilate public and internal examinations. On certain occasions, you might be asked to help out in another area e.g. to provide additional staffing for an Outdoor Activities event or school trip.
Board and Lodging
The Grange will provide graduate assistants with local accommodation free of rent and utility. The School will also provide breakfast and lunch during term time. You will have full use of your accommodation during the holidays as well as the term time. You will also receive a monthly salary equivalent to 1000 GBP.

The Grange School is a co-educational, independent all-through school with sixth form in Chile, serving pupils from the age of 4-18. The School, situated in La Reina, Santiago has approximately 2,200 pupils on roll.
The Grange School was founded in 1928 and is a bilingual institution, with pupils leaving the school fluent in both Spanish and English. The school enjoys a strong relationship with Britain and the Commonwealth and is affiliated with both the HMC and IAPS, as well as being accredited by the BSO.
