Job overview
This post offers an exciting opportunity for a talented Graduate with an interest in gaining varied experience in an education setting. Your role will include assisting with the management of the Centre for Learning facility, supporting the programme of activities and in particular providing day-to-day ICT support to the pupils and other users of the Centre. In addition, you will also work in the classroom for approximately 10 lessons per week, assisting with the teaching of KS3 ICT under the guidance of the Head of ICT.
You will also work as a Pastoral Tutor in one of our boarding houses and have the opportunity of getting fully involved in boarding life. In return, we offer an excellent working environment, residential accommodation (inclusive of all bills), meals on duty, professional development opportunities and a salary of circa £15,000. This post is offered on a fixed term contract from September 2018 – July 2020.

About Downe House
Situated in the town of Thatcham, in Berkshire, Downe House is an independent secondary school for girls aged between 11 and 18. It is both a day and boarding school. There are around 580 students enrolled at the school, the majority of whom are boarders. Downe House School was established in 1907 in Charles Darwin’s formal home. It is located on 110 acres of land. There are 12 houses for those living on the campus. One of the houses is located in France where year eight students have the opportunity to spend a term.
