Walhampton is an independent preparatory day and boarding school for 370 boys and girls aged 2-13. The school lies in beautiful ancient woodland on the southern edge of the New Forest near Lymington in Hampshire.
A Walhampton graduate gap placement is a rewarding opportunity for graduates who are thinking about a career in teaching whilst gaining paid experience and enhancing their CV before committing to a PGCE.
The school is looking for a talented science graduate who is looking to gain some hands on experience in our Science department. The role also requires the successful candidate to be part of the boarding team and provide admin support in our busy school office. A talent in sports such as hockey, netball, football, cricket or rugby would be advantageous.
To be a Graduate Gap Assistant you must be a confident communicator who can engage with pupils of all ages and abilities. Ideally you will have a degree in a science related subject, with a good academic background to match. Most importantly you will feel passionate about a career in education.
Being a team player and having a good sense of humour is essential when joining the Walhampton team. The role does require the successful applicant to live on-site, rent free.
