We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, dynamic and highly-motivated Graduate of PE. This role would suit an individual who is interested in the teaching profession and has a suitable degree in PE or a related subject. You will take an active role in the delivery of PE at Sport at Saint Felix School.

Physical Education is popular and highly valued subjects at both GCSE and A Level and students follow the AQA GCSE PE course in year 10/11 and in the sixth form pupils have the opportunity to study the OCR A Level PE course.

Sport and Physical Education play a central role to life at Saint Felix. Whether in Pre Prep, Prep or Senior School all pupils are encouraged to become actively involved in physical activity either through the curriculum or the extensive extra curriculum programme on offer. Facilities are excellent and students participate in a wide range of sports throughout the year.

Saint Felix School is an independent co-educational day and boarding school for children aged from 2 – 19, located close to the glorious seaside town of Southwold on the Suffolk coast. We are looking for a PE graduate who will be able to;

• Supporting the PE Department in the delivery of curricular PE and Games lessons across Pre-Prep, Prep and Senior. The ideal candidate will have ability or potential to teach A Level, GCSE and OCR National PE in addition to PE and Games.
• Organise and coach sports teams in both Prep and Senior Departments
• Accompany teams to off-site fixtures
• Actively support the extra-curricular sporting programme
• Help to motivate and encourage our pupils to develop and reach their potential in sports
• Help to motivate and encourage our pupils to develop and reach their potential in sports

You will be joining a strong department where results are excellent. This position would suit a recent graduate or someone graduating in 2024. If you are looking to train to teach in the future too this would be an ideal first step into working in a school. Experience of working in a sports environment would be looked upon favourably as would experience of developing young people in netball, cricket, racquet sports or athletics.
