One year fixed term contract
We are looking to appoint a graduate sport assistant, you would be required to coach girls’ sport at all levels from Year 4 to Upper Sixth. The applicant should be able to coach at a high level in Netball, and will be expected to make a contribution to wider games programme.
You will be involved in coaching sport at Wells on six days per week, including Saturdays, during term time. This will include a busy timetable within the Physical Education and Sports department working with specialist PE teachers and games coaches, along with duties supporting the wider needs of a boarding school environment.
It would be ideally suited to an individual with a passion for sport and who is looking to gain relevant experience before embarking on a formal teaching qualification. (There is potential for the successful candidate to be supported through a PGCE year by the school). It would also suit a newly qualified teacher looking to gain experience in a thriving independent boarding school. The school offers a competitive sports programme, very popular with our pupils in this unique co-educational day and boarding school in the heart of the West Country.
