This is a fixed term role to 31st August 2020.  

We are looking for a Graduate Sports Assistant in a school which offers excellent opportunities for professional development.  The new post-holder will be strong sports practitioners with a commitment to achieving the highest standards in sport for our students.

The main purpose of this post is to work with the Heads of PE (Girls / Boys) to achieve outstanding outcomes within the sports department.  We offer the following seasonal sports within the curriculum or as extra-curricular activities – athletics, badminton, basketball, cricket, dance, fencing, football, gymnastics, health-related fitness, hockey, netball, rounders, rugby, softball, taekwondo, tennis and trampolining.  The post-holder will be joining an innovative, ambitious and energetic staff group that seeks to deliver an outstanding curriculum, and will be well supported by an experienced team.

The role would suit someone who is passionate about sport and who may be considering a career in teaching.  This is a varied role, and tasks include coaching and running sports teams, officiating fixtures, assisting PE staff with the delivery of lessons and with games administration, and assisting with the implementation of the Community Sport Programme.  It represents an unusually interesting opportunity for someone with enthusiasm and relevant experience to join a talented and successful team, within a growing Trust, at an exciting time in its development.

About Twyford Church of England High School

The Twyford Church of England Academies Trust (TCEAT) is a compact CoE MAT which comprises four schools in the London Borough of Ealing. The Trust was established in October 2011 to enable an existing School, Twyford CE High School, to build on its successes and look outward to the large number of parents who were eager to become part of its community.
