The Elms, established in 1999 as the Junior School to Trent College (11 – 18 co-educational HMC School), is a thriving independent school located in Long Eaton and has grown to its present size of around 400, including children in the Pre-School and Nursery.
This is an exciting opportunity for a sports graduate to work with pupils aged 4 -11 to develop leadership skills, coaching skills, motivational ability – as well as pursuing their own interest in sport.
We are seeking an individual to support our thriving Sports Department, which offers a wide variety of sporting opportunities. The role would entail teaching or supporting classes and groups aged between 4-11 in their sports lessons, as well as the opportunity to run practices, manage teams and run sports-themed clubs. The appointed candidate will be expected to contribute fully to the extensive extra-curricular programme during and after school.
Other responsibilities would include officiating in fixtures, organising and preparing for PE and Games lessons, planning lessons, organising and managing sports equipment, liaising with parents, pupils and colleagues and assisting them in team selection.
