Hazelbury Primary School is looking for enthusiastic and inspiring graduates who want to develop their skills and gain experience in a school environment. This is a fantastic opportunity for graduates who are considering a teaching career as it will enable them to gain professional development towards this route. We provide quality training for staff and as we are a large school, which is part of the Enfield Learning Trust, we have an excellent track record of providing routes into teacher training. All staff are able to be involved with developments within the curriculum in areas that interest them and we encourage expertise and a staff that supports one another to develop their practice. We encourage expertise and a staff that supports one another to develop their own practice.

We understand how important it is for staff and children to have access to modern technology, which is why all members of staff are provided with Ipads and all children have their own Chromebook. Children are engaged with a creative curriculum that makes use of our performing arts studio, music zone, creative hub and DT Workshop. Our own on-site sports coaches provide our children with quality sport provision and fantastic extra-curricular opportunities. With a farm, pond, orchard and edible playground on site, we are able to provide the children with creative outdoor experiences. We also have our very own minibuses, which all staff have the opportunity to be trained to drive.

Our ethos encourages a learning journey that invites children to be great citizens of the future. Our pupil voice is strong and we have embedded values that ensure resilience and independence. Children are encouraged to have a growth mind-set and we have a focus on mindfulness for both children and staff across the school. We are part of the Enfield Learning Trust, apartnership of successful primary schools in Enfield who have a shared motto, ‘be included.’

The well-being of our staff is of paramount importance and we promote a healthy work-life balance. As part of the Trust, all staff are given access to Perkbox- an app that provides discounts on many high street chains. We provide staff with well-being days, an attendance reward scheme, as well as giving all employees access to a support hub. Hazelbury has its own staff gym on site, as well as access to yoga sessions for all staff.

Hazelbury provide opportunities to ensure that we value hard work and dedication. Ofsted commended this during their latest inspection, “You have put a strong emphasis on staff well-being and professional development”.

With easy access into central London, our school is ideal for candidates wanting to live in either inner or outer London.

In line with recent legislation, applicants must have a command of spoken English that is sufficient to effectively carry out duties of the role.
