We have an exciting opportunity to join our Media Department as a Graphic Design Teacher on a permanent, part time (28 hours per week) basis. 

Are you a dynamic and experienced Graphic Design professional, with a passion for sharing your expertise with students in a further education setting? As a Graphic Design Teacher, you will provide supervision of your curriculum area, ensuring that you meet budget, quality, and operational targets.

Experienced working in a further education setting, you will have demonstrable knowledge around delivering high quality, learner-focused education, while fostering a supportive learning environment that encourages creativity, critical thinking, and collaboration in order for your students to succeed.

In your role you will:

  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance curriculum development and program effectiveness
  • Plan and develop a curriculum that ensures compliance with the national curriculum framework, including, but not limited to, the integration of functional skills, best practice, and quality targets
  • Stay up to date with industry trends and emerging technologies to continuously improve teaching methodologies

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Certificate of education or PGCE
  • Current and valid industry specialism
  • Assessor qualifications (if required by Awarding Organisation)
  • Minimum Level 3 occupational qualification
  • English and maths minimum level 2 Grace C or grade 4 and above
  • Professional experience in Graphic Design, with a strong portfolio showcasing diverse projects
  • A demonstrable track record of effective teaching and delivery of Graphic Design to post 16 students
  • Knowledge and experience of working with a range of vocational awarding bodies and the internal verification process
  • Experience in Motion Graphics and Visual effects is highly desirable
  • Proficient knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud
