Job overview

We seek to appoint, to start as soon as possible, an enthusiastic and energetic full time Grounds Maintenance Working Supervisor.

The successful applicant for this position will be passionate about the School. He/she will supervise the work undertaken by the Groundsman, and occasionally contractors. He/she will have the ability to use his/her initiative and take responsibility but will also be a strong team player with an instinct for effective collaboration when that is necessary to complete tasks. He/she will create a working environment which is accessible to others so that team-work can be established and easily maintained. A full D1 Driving Licence is essential.

Computer skills are essential as is experience of staff management and a strong eye for detail. Previous experience of working in a school may be an advantage but is not essential. 

Experience of producing high quality turf maintenance is desirable as is an ability to repair and maintain machinery. 

A lively sense of humour, patience and a professional readiness to work with the team to meet agreed deadlines will ensure job satisfaction in this key post at St Catherine’s School.
