Grounds Person and Maintenance Worker - McAuley College BEAUDESERT (Services Staff Level 3)

The successful applicant will:

• have a commitment to and understanding of the ethos and traditions of Catholic Education;

• currently hold or be eligible to hold a Paid Employee Positive Notice Blue Card; and

• be eligible to work in Australia for the duration of the appointment.

McAuley College is seeking a suitably qualified and experienced person to take on the role of Grounds person and Maintenance Worker. The role is for 13 hours per week (across term time and school holidays) across negotiated days from May 2019. Duties include the general maintenance of the College grounds and buildings, and various duties associated with the daily functions of the College. The worker will require to have, or to be eligible to apply for a Blue Card. A White Construction Card would be advantageous. Refer to the attached role statement for more detail. The successful applicant will also be required to complete a number of mandatory online courses prior to commencing.

Salary Level, Range or Hourly Rate:   (Groundsperson) Service Staff Level 3 Step 1 -$26.71

Employment Conditions:   Diocesan Catholic Education Employing Authorities in Queensland Single Interest Agreement 2015-2019

This position involves working with children.  The appointment of successful applicants will be subject to satisfactory employment screening for child related employment in accordance with the law.
