McAuley College is seeking a suitably qualified and experienced person to take on two roles across the College; namely duties of Grounds person and Maintenance; and Teacher Aide (Information Technology and Design & Science). The combined role is Part Time for 19 hours per week (Term Time) across negotiated days from the beginning of Term 2, 2019 for this year. Duties include the general maintenance of the College buildings and grounds and various duties associated with the daily functions of the College. The worker will require to have, or to be eligible to apply for a Blue Card and White Construction Card. As Teacher Aide, the person will support the teachers of ITD (Information Technology and Design) and Science with the delivery of their curriculum. Refer to the attached role statements for more detail. Depending on the successful applicant, there may be additional hours during school holidays. The successful applicant will also be required to complete a number of mandatory online courses prior to commencing.

Tenure Duration (If Fixed Term):   Remainder of 2019

Total Paid Hours (per wk) & Days Required:   19 hours per week - 12 hours Groundperson and 7 hours Teacher Aide Days will be negotiated with the successful applicant.

Salary Level, Range or Hourly Rate:   (Groundsperson) Service Staff Level 3 Step 1 -$26.71 ; (Teacher Aide) Level 3 Step 1 - $27.65 hourly rate

Employment Conditions:   Diocesan Catholic Education Employing Authorities in Queensland Single Interest Agreement 2015-2019


This position involves working with children.  The appointment of successful applicants will be subject to satisfactory employment screening for child related employment in accordance with the law.
