Full-time, permanent contract (40 hours per week)

Sport plays a major part in school life and the school’s sports grounds at Wood Lane cover 3½ hectares and consists of four winter sports pitches, one sand dressed astro, two cricket squares and four cricket nets. 

Games afternoons, matches and training generally take place at Wood Lane and fixtures are played both at weekends and after school.

The Groundsperson will undertake routine preparation and maintenance work on a range of natural sports facilities and surfaces, to include cricket, rugby and football; conducting all work using sound turf maintenance practices.

The post holder will operate a range of modern turf machinery ensuring vehicles and equipment used by self and others are regularly maintained in accordance with routine operating requirements. You will operate a range of powered hand tools, set up sports pitches and deal with the upkeep of artificial and synthetic surfaces. 

The role involves undertaking a wide range of horticultural operations including the main school gardens at the Hammersmith site.

Welcome to Latymer Upper School. We are a vibrant, forward-thinking and co-educational independent secondary school in West London. Established in 1624 by the generosity of Edward Latymer and located in Hammersmith since 1895, the School upholds its founding principles of generosity and educational excellence.
