Job overview

Tadley Court School, Tadley Common Road, Tadley, Hampshire, RG26 3TB

Hours: Varied - bank only

We are seeking an individual who can support our current Gardener/Groundsperson with the day to day maintenance of our 4 acre site.  At this time of year, duties will include leaf clearing and gritting to ensure that our site maintains all health and safety requirements.  Longer term, you would find yourself involved in planting, pruning, grass cutting, hedge trimming and everything that you would expect from grounds which have a large pond and wooded areas.

Priory Education we are proud of our reputation for delivering quality education and care services with positive outcomes for children and young people aged 5 to 25 who have experienced difficulties in their previous education placements.

Tadley Court school is set in a beautiful semi rural location with four acres of well maintained grounds. We are a day school specialising in the education and care of children and young people between the age of 5 and 19 years who are diagnosed as being on the autistic spectrum with associated learning difficulties. Our children and young people may also exhibit challenging behaviour as a result of their communication difficulties and lack of social understanding.

We offer a safe, structured and predicatable environment where students can develop the skills needed to live as independently as possible allowing them to make real life choices as they approach and reach adulthood.

To succeed we need people who share our passion for making a difference and ideally (though not essentially as training will be given) have previous experience of autism. We are committed to safeguarding children and promoting their welfare and expect all staff to share this commitment.

What we’d like to give you:

  • A competitive salary
  • Enhanced disclosure cost coverage
  • Comprehensive induction and commitment to on-going training
  • 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays (pro rata for part time)
  • Online benefits and cash back rewards
  • Cycle to work scheme
  • SMART Pension option.
