Ardingly College is seeking to recruit a well-qualified and experienced Groundsperson to join their busy Grounds department. The role involves helping to maintain all areas throughout the College.
We are looking for candidates who have all-round grounds experience. Qualifications, experience and knowledge in general grounds maintenance and improvement are essential. Qualifications and/or experience in horticulture or sports turf would be advantageous.
The successful candidate will have good practical knowledge and experience of grounds care and an ability to operate and maintain various machinery, particularly large tractors and power tools. They should be self-motivated, able to forge effective working relations, and be able to work flexibly.
The hours are 42.5 hours per week, usually Monday to Friday, for 52 weeks per year. There will also be a requirement to work 1 in 3 Saturday mornings throughout the year.
Ardingly College has its own generous salary scale and the financial package offered will be commensurate with the responsibilities of the post and the experience of the person appointed. Accommodation may also be available.
