Job Title: Group Financial Accountant

Hours: 37.5 hours per week

Contract type: Permanent

Salary: £50,000 - £55,000 per annum dependant on experience

We are looking for a Group Financial Accountant to join our team to support the Group Financial Controller to perform accurate and timely financial accounting, tax accounting and compliance of the group’s monthly and annual reporting obligations. 

In the role as Group Financial Accountant, you will work closely with the external auditors and internal finance team to deliver an efficient external audit process.

You will use your analytical skills to assist with the management accounting for the group holding companies as well as filling tax and fulfilling financial requirements and completing internal audit checks.

To be successful in this role you will need:

•    Accounting qualification - ideally ACA / ACCA with audit experience gained in practice

•    Relevant financial accounting experience including understanding of UK GAAP and tax principles

•    Strong technical accounting skills

•    Proven ability to prioritise and manage workload

•    Ability to communicate and build relationships with people at different levels

•    Ability to review and change existing procedures to improve segregation of duties and internal controls

•    Advanced Excel

•    Experience of Access Dimensions would be advantageous, though not essential

•    Good system & analytical skills

•    Excellent written and oral communication skills

As a centralised function at Outcomes First Group, Finance supports several acquired agencies, over 65 schools and additional schools with accommodation for vulnerable young people, children, and adults. Our Finance team consists of Management Accounts, Transactional Finance and Commercial Finance.
