Founded in 1883 and occupying a beautiful 25 acre parkland site in leafy Bickley in Kent, Bromley High School educates some 870 girls from pre-prep to Sixth Form. The School, which is steeped in almost 140 years of tradition with a focus on the future, has a long standing reputation for academic excellence and provides an environment where every girl is equal, every girl is an individual and every girl can thrive. Bromley High School excels in music, drama, the arts and sport, developing in its pupils a strong sense of self belief and a commitment to hard work. Pupils have fun and are supported by thoughtful and proactive pastoral care as they prepare for life beyond school and their responsibilities within the wider world.

Bromley High School is part of The Girls’ Day School Trust, a family of schools where girls learn without limits. Whilst academic excellence is a given, GDST schools also focus on giving girls the confidence and skills to thrive in the modern world.

As a centre of excellence, the GDST provides unrivalled opportunities and resources for students, staff and alumnae, as well as support and training for Headteachers.  As part of a family of schools, GDST Heads belong to a dynamic group of leaders, allowing them to exchange ideas and best practice.  Founded in 1872, the GDST now educates 19,000 students and employs 3,500 staff.

The successful candidate will be innovative and ambitious, with a genuine commitment to the ethos and the values of the School and the wider Trust.
