Opened in 1873 as the first school to be established by The Girls’ Day School Trust, Kensington Prep today educates 290 day girls aged 4 – 11.  The School combines its proud traditions with truly innovative teaching to produce exceptional academic results which allow its girls to take up places at the leading London day schools.

Through a bespoke curriculum and emphasis on creativity and thinking skills, Kensington Prep is able to genuinely equip its girls to meet the challenges of an ever changing world.  The School is also at the forefront of digital learning and pupils benefit from first-class facilities including a state-of-the-art science laboratory and a high tech 'explore floor'.  Although an academic school, Kensington Prep offers a rich and diverse curriculum within an environment that nurtures friendships and builds a strong sense of community.

The GDST Council invites applications for the role of Head for September 2018, on the retirement of Mrs Prudence Lynch following 15 years of exceptional leadership.  The post offers a tremendous opportunity for an inspiring and forward-thinking leader with energy, drive and ambition.
