The Governors are seeking to appoint an outstanding individual to lead the next stage of development of this highly regarded school

Moorlands School in North Leeds is a strongly established preparatory school now administered by the Governors of Woodhouse Grove School (WGS) and is a member of the Methodist Independent Schools Trust. Moorlands School operates in a tightly competitive market for private schools in Leeds. Leadership is critical and the successful candidate will need to possess the character and presence to maintain confidence and uphold the school’s very special ethos and character.

 The School is looking to appoint a candidate who is:

• Passionate about high quality preparatory education
• An outstanding proven leader as a Head, an exceptional Deputy or Senior Manager
• Have a secure knowledge of contemporary educational developments at all ages managed by the school
• The ability to be a collegiate and collaborative team-player capable when necessary of decisive management with an instinctive feel for the correct relationship between head, the staff and the parental body
• Courageous, ambitious and determined to lead the school in every aspect of its development.
• A confident natural communicator who will command the interest and imagination of staff, pupils and parents. Someone who will spearhead marketing and public relations in all their facets
• Able to demonstrate kindness that is moral and inspiring with integrity and who will always put the needs of the pupils first
• Capable of the management of change.

The post is for April or September 2017 and commands an attractive salary with other benefits.
