Job overview
Terrington Hall School is a thriving independent school for boys and girls aged 3-13. Set within an idyllic location in the heart of the Howardian Hills, just north of York, this is a school with a proven track record of providing an outstanding all-round education. Blending forward-thinking learning with traditional prep school values, Terrington Hall is recognised for developing happy, well-mannered individuals with the self-belief and resilience to pursue their talents and interests, wherever they may lie.
The Governors are seeking an exceptional leader for Terrington Hall School from September 2020. This is an exciting opportunity to build upon the many achievements of the current Head, Stephen Mulryne, and to take the school forward in the next phase of its development.
Charismatic and authentic, the successful candidate will be a dynamic leader with the strategic capability to shape the future of an ambitious school. An inspirational communicator, the next Head will be a compelling ambassador for Terrington Hall, building the profile of the school amongst a variety of audiences. The new Head will have the capacity to balance the business dimensions of modern headship with an educational vision which places challenge, opportunity, happiness and community at the core.
A competitive remuneration package is available; the package includes a house for the Head’s family in the grounds of the school.
