Our stakeholder engagement and partnership are working is a key activity to ensure that we are fully aligned with and responsive to the needs to colleagues across the Dorset Integrated Care System. 

About the role

We are seeking an exceptional individual to drive the development of our academic enterprise and engagement activities on behalf of the institution. Reporting to the Deputy Vice-Chancellor, you will have a desire to help shape our progressive future through the design, development and delivery of high quality clinically-focused education and training activities, workforce innovations and knowledge exchange activities.  

You will drive the identification, development and management of innovative and profitable enterprise opportunities, working with internal and external stakeholders. You will work closely with our prestigious network of academic, clinical and employer partners locally, regionally, nationally and internationally. 

About the person

You will be an experienced, enthusiastic and highly motivated UK registered healthcare professional with a relevant qualification at Masters level. You will be an experienced academic and educator, with excellent communication skills and a proven ability to develop and support academic partnerships with different stakeholder groups. An in-depth knowledge of the current health and social care sector, its systems and processes supporting workforce development, service improvement and service delivery is essential. 

You will have previous experience in the identification, design, development and delivery of new academic provision in response to the needs of a wide range of stakeholders, providing internal business cases, submitting tenders and formalising collaborative agreements as required. You will be an excellent networker who thrives in a fast-moving working environment. 

As a confident academic educator, you will be able to navigate the quality assurance landscape in higher education to validate and approve contemporary provision, involving colleagues, professional bodies and stakeholder groups as appropriate. You will be a natural leader who can support and influence others to drive change and develop new activities.  

You will be a values-driven individual who operates effectively and consistently in a changing and challenging environment, promoting the reputation of the University College as a positive and responsive ambassador. 

You will be committed to maintaining your own development as a regulated healthcare professional and educator.
