We are currently recruiting a Head of Academy. Her/his mission will consist in establishing the Dhaka Academy as the Founding Head. She/he will be working collaboratively with others in the network to ensure the Academy draws on and is consistent with network policies and practices, while ensuring local contextual distinctiveness. In order to ensure that the Academy enjoys positive relationships and the best of starts as a new school, the Head of Academy shall work in partnership with the leadership and governance. 

She/he will be part of a growing community, one that develops young people of talent and potential from Bangladesh to be the well-educated, ethical and pluralistic leaders of tomorrow. The successful candidate will ensure that the Academy is distinctive and relevant, through the provision of an outstanding and transformative international education for students from different countries and from a diverse range of backgrounds. In addition, he/she will act as a role model to students and staff, setting high standards of personal conduct, and dealing with discipline firmly yet fairly.

Our future Head of Academy should have gained proven ability in senior positions in schools with reputations for educational excellence as well as a reputation as a respected educational leader and thinker with a record of improving teaching and learning,

The Aga Khan Academy Dhaka is a day and residential school, located in Dhaka, Bangladesh, offering an education built upon the renowned and internationally recognised International Baccalaureate (IB) programme for students aged 3-18.
