Crookesbroom Primary Academy are currently looking to recruit a Head of Academy to start in the Autumn term/September 2022.  You will be responsible for all aspects of the internal organisation, professional leadership, management, and control of the school and for leading supervision over teaching and support staff in accordance with Instrument of Government.  

You will share the Trust’s vision for improving educational outcomes in the North and will bring about transformational change within the communities that we serve.

As the most senior leader within the Academy, you will work with your Senior Leadership Team to ensure consistent application of effective Trust systems and processes.  You will use experience and innovation to drive forward school improvement to ensure that no child is left behind.

This role will suit an existing Head of Academy or aspiring Head of Academy who wants to make a significant difference to children’s lives by shaping their educational experience.  You will be inspiring and engaging, with the ability to communicate effectively with all stakeholders.

With 229 pupils aged between 5 and 11, Crookesbroom is a busy and vibrant place. We serve the villages of Hatfield, Stainforth and Dunsville.  We are a small academy, and we pride ourselves on knowing our students well and doing our best to ensure everyone fulfils their potential. We place great importance on the development of each and every child both academically and socially and emotionally. We aim to provide a wide range of learning experiences both within the classroom and beyond which will promote a life-long love of learning and enable our children to become independent, forward thinking and socially responsible citizens of the future.

Who Are We?

We are a vibrant and caring, one-form entry primary academy with a 30 place morning only nursery. We predominantly serve the community of Dunscroft, a small village in the east of Doncaster and work in partnership with Delta Academies Trust. Our staff work collaboratively to ensure that all of our children achieve to their full potential regardless of their starting point. Our staff strive for excellence and are able to adapt positively to the ever-changing world. We enjoy researching and introducing new initiatives in order to continually improve the learning experiences that we provide for our children.

During our last Ofsted in March 2019, Crookesbroom retained its good judgement but the academy will receive a section 5 inspection in the near future as there is a possibility that we may be outstanding.
