Head of Aquatics – August 2024 start

We are looking to appoint a Head of Aquatics to join our team in August 2024. The ideal candidate will be an experienced coach who has competed at a high level in swimming, enjoys leading and working as part of a team, and is keen to continue to drive the swimming program and sporting reputation of Arcadia forward. The successful candidate will plan and lead on Curriculum Swimming across Primary and Secondary, be responsible for the monitoring and assessment of students’ attainment and progress, run performance squads before and after school and organise teams for competitions.

Our ideal candidate will have:

·     A minimum of a Level 2 swimming qualification (or equivalent) is required.

·     A Bachelor's degree is preferred.

·     Lifeguard or Swim Rescue Award is preferred.

·      Experience of teaching a wide range of children in commercial, club or educational environments.

·     Experience at organising competitions

·      Excellent command in English language

·     Develop excellence amongst students by identifying exceptional learners and subsequently providing performance pathways.

Initial long list interviews will be conducted via Zoom. Candidates who successfully reach the short-list will be asked to complete a task relevant to the role with a full interview with key leaders. Where possible, this will be in-person.
