Secondary Head of Arabic required for August 2020.
The English College is looking for an enthusiastic, highly qualified and committed Head of Arabic, with an outstanding track record, to lead teaching and learning within the Arabic Department at the School. The role of Head of Arabic is a unique and incredibly rewarding leadership challenge and an exciting opportunity to be part of the dynamic and forward thinking school.
The post holder will contribute to the teaching of Arabic to first and second language Arabic speakers.
He/she will demonstrate a dynamic and creative approach to teaching with the ability to inspire and motivate students with a diverse range of talents and abilities. Candidates must also have the necessary skills and vision to enhance teaching and learning within the department.
As the Head of Department, you will be responsible for the day-to-day running of the department, with responsibility for monitoring and evaluating student achievement, as well as contributing to accomplishing the College’s vision and mission. The ideal candidate will have experience of managing and supporting a team of staff to raise standards and will also be an advanced practitioner, who sets a standard that other teachers look to emulate.
Applicants should be willing to contribute in a positive manner to all aspects of the school vision including extra-curricular activities.

Successful applicants will:
Be enthusiastic, talented and dedicated practitioners with excellent subject knowledge
Have a minimum of two years’ experience of teaching
Be able to provide a UK enhanced DBS or equivalent police check
Be professional in appearance and conduct
Be willing to contribute to the wider curriculum and support the vision of the school
Our remuneration package includes:
Tax free salary (between GBP28,164 to GBP42,924 per annum based on November 2019 exchange rates and dependent upon experience)
Furnished accommodation in a central Dubai location
