Job overview

A well-qualified Head of Art & Design is required for September 2017. The Art and Design department is busy, diverse and innovative and we welcome applicants who can bring vision and energy to build on these foundations. The Art and Design department is highly successful at all levels and the corridors of the School showcase the talents of the boys. The School’s long standing record of high achievement (93.6% A* to B at A Level in 2015) is reflected in the Art and Design Department’s recent results. The post will involve teaching at all levels in the School.

We are seeking to appoint someone with the vision, commitment, and desire to lead the Department as we re—shape Art & Design, taking it forward to mesh Creativity, Engineering, Computing and Art & Design. There is the potential for a building project within this remit and so this is an exciting brief for the right person; foresight, imagination, prescience and organisation are needed but this is a stimulating task for a dynamic and focused individual.

The School occupies fine, modern buildings near St. Paul’s Cathedral overlooking the Thames, opposite the Tate Modern.

An application form and further details are available from the School on 020 3680 6326 (fax 020 7329 6887) or e-mail the HR Administrator at: recruitment@clsb.org.uk

Closing date: Noon Tuesday 17 January 2017
