Teachers Pay Scale (MPS/UPS), plus TLR 2b £4,784pa, permanent.
We are seeking to appoint an energetic, enthusiastic and suitably qualified Head of Art to lead our thriving Art Department. The successful applicant will be responsible for maintaining high standards, ensuring inspirational teaching and continuing the department’s record of outstanding results at both GCSE and A Level.
Educated to degree level with QTS status is essential, as is experience of teaching Art. This position requires an up to date knowledge and understanding of the curriculum and assessment, reporting and recording processes relating to Art, plus a clear understanding of the elements of outstanding teaching and learning.
This is a fantastic opportunity to lead a department dedicated to supporting students to realise their potential in Art and Photography.

The Queen Katherine School is situated on the edge of the stunning Lake District; we are an 11-18 Academy with approximately 1000 students. The school was rated Good by Ofsted in March 2022. Our results reflect the school’s incredible success: top 7% in the country for A level (grades A-B) and top 25% for Progress 8 at GCSE.
