A great opportunity for a passionate Head of Department or aspiring Teacher to lead our Art, Design and Technology department.

We offer state-of-the-art-facilities and an array of extra-curricular activities to promote and enhance learning. Our success is based on an effective partnership between pupils, staff and parents, building positive, trusting and long lasting relationships to support pupils to be the best they possibly can be.

We are looking for a creative Head of Art, Design and Technology with the ambition to lead our dedicated department forward. To be successful, you must have high expectations of staff and pupils, ambition to lead the further development of the department and high quality leadership skills to inspire and motivate pupils and staff.

We are part of the Greenwood Academies Trust (GAT) which has a proven track record in school improvement. The Trust provides centralised services and support to enable staff to focus on teaching. Being part of the Trust means that we are able to share specialist best practice and work collaboratively with colleagues in other academies.

The new Stanground Academy opened on 1 April 2012 and is one of the Greenwood Academies Trust’s Group of Academies, replacing the predecessor Stanground College. The Academy has since undergone a £24M building project and now boasts state of the art” buildings providing academic, vocational and sports facilities for pupils and staff.  These include fully-equipped specialist rooms, extensive sports facilities, a dance studio, a theatre and high tech ICT equipment.
