Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role as the Head of Arts at Lumio Private School. As the Head of Arts, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management and administration of the Art department, overseeing curriculum development, educational leadership, communication with students, parents, and staff, conducting research, and ensuring a supportive learning environment for all students. English is the primary language of instruction, with some teaching teams proficient in Russian.
Role Responsibilities
- Plan, organise, and coordinate the educational process and curriculum of the department.
- Provide methodological supervision and oversight of teachers’ pedagogical activities.
- Monitor the implementation of curricula and ensure a balanced workload for the teacher-staff.
- Organise and improve communication and collaboration with students' parents.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field; Master's degree is preferred.
- Proficiency in personalised competency-based learning (PCBL) and instructional design.
- Experience in curriculum development, educational leadership, and education.
- Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with students, parents, and staff. Advanced or native-level proficiency in English.
- Ability to conduct research and stay up-to-date with educational best practices.
- Strong organisational and managerial skills.
- Knowledge of bilingual education and the ability to cater to children from diverse linguistic backgrounds.
- Experience with the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme is highly desirable.
- Experience working in an international school setting is a plus.
- Minimum of 3 years of effective management experience in school settings.
