Applications are invited from enthusiastic and inspirational candidates to lead our thriving and dedicated Biology department. An exciting opportunity has arisen at Derby High School for an enthusiastic, innovative and creative Head of Biology.

Biology is a compulsory subject for all students from Years 7 to 9 and is then an optional subject for GCSE and A level. The department follows the AQA syllabus at GCSE and A level. There are two other teachers in the department. Examination results in recent years have been very good and the subject enjoys an excellent reputation amongst students. The successful candidate will also become involved in our departmental activities outside the classroom along with a willingness to offer support to other aspects of the extra-curricular life of the school. Biology is a popular subject at GCSE and A level, which is taught in a dedicated laboratory.

This post Is full time and would suit a well-qualified teacher looking for a new challenge.
