Contract: Permanent, full time, 37 hours per week, 52 weeks per year.

Location: Paignton.

This post is an exciting opportunity to join a successful, ambitious and forward-thinking Further Education College, leading our work with employers and key business stakeholders. 

We are looking for a lively, ambitious, innovative individual to support continued sustainable income growth at organisational level, ensuring that everything we offer is aligned to the current and future skills needs of the local, regional and national communities that we serve. The successful person will support, work closely with, and be an integral member of, the College Leadership Team.

Leading the, already highly successful, Business Solutions and Employer Engagement Team you will be responsible for shaping and delivering our growth and employer engagement strategy. To do this successfully, you will need to have a proven track record in developing business for growth, building partnerships and positively engaging in collaborative working at all levels with employers and their representative bodies.

South Devon College already has an enviable record and works with over 1500 businesses every year. With 8-10,000 students coming through our doors, annually, we are looking for an exceptional person with the experience, drive and enthusiasm who has, or can quickly develop, an excellent understanding of our extensive provision, curriculum and delivery models to inform and support our outstanding curriculum specialists to ensure we keep our education, training and skills provision aligned to the local and regional labour market need including the, soon to be released, Local Skills Improvement Plan (LSIP).

You will already be able to demonstrate an understanding of high quality technical, professional and vocational skills training and experience of leading and managing external stakeholder and employer engagement and be able to extend the College’s already extensive reach and impact.
