Job overview

As Head of Care at Cedar House School, you’ll have a challenging but fulfilling job. Working with vulnerable young people in our residential school, you’ll provide them with personalised care and create a calm and safe living environment. You’ll manage day-to-day operations, working closely with the Head Teacher to keep standards high and make sure that all young people can thrive and reach their full potential. You will lead an outstanding and dedicated staff team whose commitment to the children in their care is second to none. 

Here at Witherslack Group we pride ourselves on providing an excellent level of care, because of this, we require you to have managerial experience in a residential child care setting and knowledge of implementing the National Minimum Care Standards for Residential Special Schools. Your expertise should come with a professional qualification: Level 4 Working with Children and Young People (or equivalent). Enthusiastic, resilient and good with people, you’ll have the judgement to make key decisions and will be able to inspire, develop and grow exceptional teams and the leaders of tomorrow. A full UK driving licence is a must for this role.

Cedar House a co-educational, independent, specialist day and residential school on the North Yorkshire, Lancashire border providing high quality education and care for children between the ages of 7 and 18. The school meets the needs of a diverse group of pupils exhibiting social, emotional and mental health needs, alongside a range of other associated conditions. We have a well-established, high-performing residential provision with an ethos based on positive relationships

Holidays
