Head of Chemistry
Required for January 2019
Full time MPS plus TLR 2a £2,665 (pending national pay increase)
Do you want to teach bright, motivated and impeccably-behaved students in a dynamic and supportive environment? Have you got the ambition and drive to lead a department? We are looking for an excellent leader/classroom teacher with the ability to inspire others.
Our Science team has an overall Head of Science in place with a team of ten staff. Within this structure we seek to appoint a Head of Chemistry. Other leadership opportunities may arise during the forthcoming academic year. The sciences are taught as separate subjects at each Key Stage. Being able to offer multiple areas of GCSE Science or BTEC Applied Science at Level 3 would be an advantage. Our Sixth Form is the largest in the area; KS5 teaching will account for a significant proportion of your timetable.
All of our students gain superb results in GCSE Science. We offer students all three A levels and BTEC Applied Science at sixth form.
Further details, applications forms or appointments to visit the school are obtainable from the Headteacher’s PA at the contact details above or on our School website: www.bostonhighschool.co.uk
Applications should be returned to Mrs Swain at the school address above.
Closing date: Thursday 11th October 4.00pm
Interviews: Wednesday 17 October 2018
This school is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, consequently an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service Check (DBS) will be required.
