From September we are looking to appoint an outstanding and forward thinking person as our Head of Chemistry. You will work with the Head of Faculty to deliver the Chemistry curriculum across KS3 – KS5. Ideally, the successful candidate will have proven experience as a leader in Chemistry but appropriate support will be given to the right person. As Head of Chemistry you will:
* inspire students and staff through their passion for the subject
* have a firm belief in the potential of all
* be able to teach Chemistry to KS5 and have a proven record of raising standards
* be innovative and inspiring and turn ideas and opportunities into success
* have excellent interpersonal skills
The Faculty is led by an experienced leader who is well supported by a skilled, enthusiastic and talented team of dedicated science teachers and technicians. Science is fully equipped and classrooms have interactive whiteboards and generous curriculum resources.
Bushey Meads School is part of the growing Bushey St James Trust. We have strong links with local primary schools where good practice and ideas are shared across the Trust which provide excellent professional development opportunities. Transport links are good with the M1, M25, A1 and A41 being close by and local bus routes are only a short walk.
